Prospects for the Implementation of an Intense Source of Ultraviolet Radiation Based on a Gas-Discharge Plasma in a Quasi-Optical Cavity Excited by a Pulse of Terahertz Radiation

An electrodynamic system is described that provides the creation of an electromagnetic wave field high intensity at a frequency 1 THz due to combination accumulation in time and compression space pulse coming from electron cyclotron maser (gyrotron). This based on use three-mirror cavity consisting two focusing mirrors one flat corrugated Bragg-type photonic structure providing coupling between gyrotron operating cavity. The aim this work “spot” intense terahertz inside provide point-like plasma discharge gas stream injected into spot; such can be source extreme ultraviolet radiation.
